What will happen if I drink Alcohol while taking Mucinex D?

I know you should avoid alcohol with pain relievers. They say you should avoid taking Mucinex D with Alcohol on the website but I dont see why. I'm asking because I've been taking it for the past 3 days and I went out last night a had a few drinks.
