I plan on raising a steer/heifer for Houston Livestock & Rodeo 2011. I need to know the inns&outs please :)?

I need financial help and a better idea about the task. I've only shown a hog so I'm sure the steer project differs greatly. Any experienced sggestions are really appreciated =)
