You didn't ask him to disappear back to wherever for 2 months. You had a fight and you asked him to leave the home. He chose to go far away for that length of time and have no contact with you ... what other option did you have but to move on? I agree with you that this new guy is a rebound. But, you have to do what you feel is right. Only you can decide this.
